How to use Mumbai (Polygon Testnet)

Connecting your Metamask to the Mumbai Testnet in preparation for the MonoX Polygon Bug Bounty Program.

What is Mumbai Testnet?

Mumbai Testnet is a testnet for Polygon protocol. As MonoX is set to launch on both the Ethereum Mainnet and Polygon (Matic Network), just as our bug bounty program will be available on both the Kovan Testnet and Mumbai Testnet.

Mumbai is not enabled by default on Metamask. As such, you have to add it as one of the connected networks.

Getting Started

  1. Login to your wallet and click on the dropdown selection of networks

  2. Select on “Custom RPC”

  3. Fill in the parameters as follows · Network Name: Mumbai

    · New RPC URL: https://rpc-mumbai.matic.today

    · Chain ID: 80001

    · Currency Symbol: MATIC · Block Explorer URL: https://explorer-mumbai.maticvigil.com/

  4. Click “Save” and it’s completed.

Alternative Way to Connect

  1. Search for “Mumbai” using the search bar located at the top

  2. Click on “Connect Wallet” to connect your Metamask

  3. Click on “Add To Metamask” and you’re good to go
